Your Event at TheatreWorks

TheatreWorks of Southern Indiana is located in the historic 1837 former Second National Bank Building located in downtown New Albany, Indiana at 203 East Main Street. The distinctive Greek revival architectural elements of the building has prompted the common reference to the building as “The Parthenon Building.”

TheatreWorks contains the first floor Mainstage Theatre with flexible seating up to 92 and a permanent stage. The second floor contains the Rose Garden Ballroom which can accommodate 80 guests with traditional table and chair arrangement as well as The Culberson Club Room and adjoining bar. The building is handicap-accessible with elevator service available to the second floor.  There is also wireless connectivity throughout the building.

A $100 Non-refundable deposit is due at signing. The remainder of fees are to be paid within seven days of the event. Cancellation less than 48 hours from the scheduled event will result in a charge of 75% of the total due. Reservations may be held using cash, credit card or an approved check.  

You may choose your own caterer or we will be glad to work with you from our list of suggested caterers. If you require specific colors other than our standard cream linens, they may be rented for an additional charge.

Event Planning Services
Our staff can help plan your event down to every detail.  From decorations, to florals, menus and entertainment, we’re here to make your event perfect in every way. We can arrange for coffee/snack breaks and/or make arrangements for luncheon meetings.

Weddings, Receptions, Business Meetings, etc.
Rose Garden Ballroom
Prices quoted include tables, chairs, basic linens as well as an attendant onsite during your event. The rates include up to five hours usage of the facility. An additional charge of $75 will be added for each additional hour past the allotted time.

Friday Evening Rental: $500 | Saturday Evening Rental: $600 | Sunday Rental: $350

The space may be rented Monday through Thursday for $250 for three hours ($75 for each additional hour).  All rentals of this type are also subject to a cleaning fee.
Mainstage Theatre
The Mainstage Theatre is also available for weddings, receptions, business meetings, and other small events.  It can be rented individually (same rates as above) or along with the Rose Garden Ballroom (+$180).  The Mainstage Theatre has a sound system, an LED lighting system, and an electronic keyboard available.  There is also a projector and projection screen that can be made available upon request.
